The Credit Profile report is a composite history of a consumer's
credit and identification information.
It is the most comprehensive credit decision making tool used
in the industry today, providing timely
and in-depth credit information that allows faster, more accurate,
and cost-effective decisions.
The Credit Profile report is a very effective credit information
tool. It has an easy-to-read block format
that contains relevant information designed to help customers
make profitable credit decisions. In
addition, optional display formats offer customer flexibility
in tailoring a credit report to meet their
specific operational needs.
The Credit Profile report displays consumer information in
a standard, objective, easy-to-read manner.
Experian designed the Credit Profile report, with customer input,
to be easy to interpret. Report
features are listed below:
- Groups similar information to enable customers to analyze
data faster.
- Displays public record information (i.e., bankruptcies,
liens, and judgments against a
consumer) before tradeline information because of its importance
to the credit-granting
process.
- Automatically generates band and tradeline headings, making
it easier to read.
- Displays inquiries separately with the most recent
inquiry first.
- Asterisk (*) precedes important or derogatory information,
bringing it to the customer's
attention for closer review.
- Address standardization for consistent search, match,
and display.
- Improved bestness rules for similar name and Social
Security number.
- AKA name based on source/date reported.
- Counter indicating the number of credit grantors reporting
the same address with the last
subcode reporting the address displayed.
- Demographic information including telephone number, driver's
license number, home
ownership status and GEO code displayed in a separate band
(optional).
- Score Factor Code definition display when a credit risk
model is produced (optional).
Two (2) tradeline formats (with new elements or with delinquency
counters).
- Selection of bands and band sequence options.
- Tradeline sort sequence option.
